The mod mini dress. One of the 90’s classic dress styles and definitely a must have in Buffy’s closet. Buffy usually pair her mod mini with knee high boots, Lucite rings and her cross necklace. Above Buffy opts for a plain, pale blue mod mini and cat eyed sunglasses. As in the other photo Buffy is seen rocking a printed mod mini. In a pink tone with floral printing. Buffy can be seen wearing both plain or printed mod mini’s and pulls them off just the same. Just remember the knee-high boots!

This look is a bit edgier than most of Buffy’s fashion choices but I love it! Here Buffy pairs a cheetah print mod mini-dress with a black motorcycle jacket. The jacket gives the ensemble that rock chic look and the knee high boots of course scream Buffy. Opting for the uncommon choice of a high pony tail, Buffy shows off the dresses neck line. This outfit is definitely one of my favourites!

I absolutely adore these digitally printed tee’s! Buffy is seen in almost every episode during season 1 in one. Their absolutely adorable, that 90’s style of have the picture in a small square or rectangle. I’ve been making my own by finding printing pictures that I like onto white vintage tee’s I’ve picked up in thrift stores! Buffy rocks these tee’s day and night, of course adding her signature items.

Lucite Rings!

I’ve realised that Buffy is a humongous fan of lucite rings. During season one Buffy is never seen without one on at least one finger. Whether plain colours, transparent, patterned or floral they make a 90’s inspired statement. I have developed an obsession over them joining the Bufster in her fashion and accessory choices. Looking everywhere for a place that sold them I finally came across this amazing website: http://www.thecarrotbox.com/store/index.asp

They come in the dome classic shape, cats eye, arcylic and more! Below Buffy is seen rocking Angel’s leather jacket in the Bronze. Along with two lucite rings, double the statement!

BUFFY CHALLENGE - DAY FOUR

Q. Favourite female character?

A.I know this is everyone’s answer but how could it not? My favourite female character is Buffy. When Joss Whedon first started making Buffy the Vampire Slayer he wanted the hero to actually be a young woman for the first time in television history. One that didn’t need a strong male hero to save her, a young woman who would save the world and prove anyone can be a hero. Buffy has truly touched me in how much she has grown from season 1 being the witty teenager who just wanted to have a normal life. To the mature woman who accepted her duties, put others infront of herself and ‘saved the world a lot’. I watched Buffy struggle without a father figure though finding love, guidance and wisdom from Giles. Seeing her get her heart broken and feel as if she was worthless and unloved related to my crumbled heart. So many times I would be going through something and not know how I was going to recover. Seeing Buffy going through all these things and coming out a stronger person gave me hope, it gave me a hero. I love and cherish the character of Buffy so much because she gives up so much and cares so deeply for the ones around her.

“It is always different! It’s always complicated. And at some point, someone has to draw the line, and that is always going to be me! You get down on me for cutting myself off, but in the end the Slayer is always cut off. There’s no mystical guidebook, no all-knowing council. Human rules don’t apply! There’s only me. I am the law.”

She tackles so many tragedies through her life and finally realises that she is not alone. When she falls back her friends are there to pick her back up again, many issues and fears Buffy faced relate to so many people. Buffy some how has managed to crawl into my heart when it was broken and built it up again. Because of Buffy I know that people are there for you even if you don’t realise. That no matter how hard life seems, you’ll get through it and that hero’s may come in the form of anyone. Buffy is my hero and she has teached me so many important values and beliefs. That I believe she is the image of what all of us can be if we never back down and always get back up. Buffy Summers saved the world and she saved me.

This outfit has to be the cutest thing I have ever laid my eyes on. The graphic print on the white tank is adorable. The pink cat, is a very 90’s digital image and immensely sweet. Pairing this cute tank with the infamous black mini-skirt. Buffy styles her hair in a high pony tail to keep this look sweet and youthful. What do we have here? Could it be? Yet again the knee-high boots make an appearance and complete this outfit to the t, this look just screams Buffy. Instead of the much favoured satchel bag, Buffy opts for a plain black backpack. Once again a flawless outfit from the Bufster.

This outfit is so sweet and simple. The pairing of a plain white tee loosely fitting Buffy’s frame and a baby pink cardigan. Makes the darkness of winter dressing seem more bright. The pairing of the two angelic colours melts sweets. To accessorize gold circular dangly earrings hang from buffy’s ear lobes. And to finish off the outfit a brown satchel bag to carry all your school needs. Now your all set to slay chemistry!

Mod mini’s are a staple in any 90’s slayer wardrobe. Here Buffy rocks a midnight blue and olive green mini dress. With a scoop neck, unlike most mod mini dresses which have a high neckline. Her hair is in a straightened half up, half down style and flatters the neckline of the dress. Shoes? What else would you pair this cute number with other than knee-high boots! The black pair make a return and seem more versatile than Buffy’s brown pair. Simple but a drool worthy outfit once again Miss Buffster.

This outfit really surprised me, cause it doesn’t see like something Buffy would normally wear. Yet it’s so funky and cute you can’t help but once again become envious of her wardrobe. A cute black graphic tee and silk baby pink Japanese style mini skirt are the perfect pairing. Contrasting dark shades with pastels, brilliance! But it wouldn’t scream Buffy without the knee-high boots. Instead of her brown pair her she opts for a black pair and a warm black beanie. To finish off accessorising with a dainty necklace, which I’m completely jealous of. This outfit oozes sass.

BUFFY CHALLENGE - DAY THREE

Q.Favourite song used in an episode?

A. Okay it’s not just because Spike sung it and he looked bloody hot doing it as well. Um okay yeh that’s mainly the reason and he’s actually a really good singer! My favourite song used in an episode is ‘Rest in Peace’ by Spike in the episode Once more with feeling. I literally spent hours replaying that scene where he performs it, learning all the lyrics. I love how tongue and cheek it is but also strangely spell-binding, the connection that is shown between Buffy and him left my speechless. The tune of the song was catchy and the lyrics were witty.

I do have to admit I might have downloaded it on my ipod and danced around my room to it. But who wouldn’t were talking about Spike singing and that makes me melt. I was pretty much in love with all the music featured in that episode. I really loved the duet with Xander and Anya, ‘I’ll never tell.’ It had me singing along and even though their singing wasn’t too brilliant it was extremely entertaining.

I’m also a sucker for the classics such as Angel and Buffy’s theme song. That always makes me tear up and it produces flashbacks of episodes when I listen to it. And of course the intro song is on my favourites list. The music on ‘Buffy the vampire slayer’ was truly amazing, along with the cast, fashion, humour and script writing.
